Ellis Chapman’s short stint on Emmerdale will be coming to an end sooner rather than later, after actor Asan N’Jie was axed from the ITV soap for threatening behaviour.
Scriptwriters were forced to hastily rewrite storylines when Asan’s behaviour at the TV Choice Awards resulted in his contract being terminated.

Ever since his shock sacking, fans have been desperate to know how his character will be written out.
And on Wednesday (September 18), Ellis made a big decision about his future along with brother Billy.
Viewers know that their mum Jessie left under a cloud of shame after being caught cheating on Marlon.
After the breakdown of their marriage, she left for a teaching job in Dubai – leaving her two sons behind.

Despite the horrid way Marlon and Jessie’s marriage ended – with her sleeping with her ex-Al, their dad – Marlon has genuine affection for his stepsons.
When Mandy Dingle told the boys to leave Marlon’s home and move out, they were left questioning whether they might have to leave the village for good.
However, poor Marlon was devastated to think they wanted to move out and leave him and his daughter April.
Despite Ellis’ dad Al encouraging them to move in with him, Ellis and Billy finally came to a decision – to stay with Marlon and April.
Ellis was seen promising his stepsister he wouldn’t leave…
But we know he has to leave next month, with the soap filmed four to six weeks in advance.
Will he join his mum in Dubai? And will Billy follow?
Asan was sacked with “immediate effect” after threatening to kill Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, and being escorted off the premises of the ITV soap.
ITV said in a statement: “Emmerdale suspended Asan N’Jie yesterday pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel on Monday night.
“ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence Asan’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.”
Asan released his own statement, in which he apologised, saying: “My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.”
Asan is one in a long line of soap stars who has been axed from a soap for unacceptable behaviour.
