Actress Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, has teased a big turnaround for her alter ego.
Ever since her recent return, Mandy has pulled scams including trying to steal Lydia Hart’s inheritance money.
Recently her family found out about what Mandy did, but she insisted she only did it as she needed to pay back casino owner Terry.
Speaking about Mandy’s future, Lisa said: “There’s two words now that Mandy needs to start using a lot and that’s ‘sorry’ and ‘thank you’ and that is all to the family.
“Every scam has gone wrong but she’s a trier. Mandy constantly pulls her socks up and will do anything to gain more and more money.
“Maybe she realises that employment is what she needs. Just a good old-fashioned job within the village because Vinny said he doesn’t want to leave.”

She continued: “I think Mandy just needs to get grounded in the village, that she needs to feel grounded herself.
“So maybe employment moving forward rather than constantly trying to scam someone else out of whatever.”
Viewers know Mandy scammed her boss Terry and in flashbacks, she explained to her family how the heist went down.

Viewers also discovered that Charity was in on the operation and helped them out with their plan, but the family have no idea Charity was involved.
