Over the summer, we reported on real-life couple Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley’s awesome shared hobby.
Some years ago now, they bought an allotment and one of their most joyful pastimes is growing fruit and vegetables.
And, judging by Zoe’s gorgeous social media pictures, they’ve become very good at it.
She has shared shots of all manner of fayre, from pears and berries, to sweetcorn and marrows.

They even make jams, chutneys and pickles. Eat your hearts out, Tom and Barbara. (Google The Good Life, anyone under the age of 40!)
But Zoe has now shared a shot of their final haul for this year. We’re going to miss pouring over her gloriously colourful pics, but reckon she and Jeff have earned a rest!
Sunday’s harvest. ✨ Feeling sad our allotment is coming to a close for another year…but what a growing year it’s been! 💚☀️ #allotment pic.twitter.com/CdFy3F30dr

The couple got an allotment in part because Jeff suffers from Crohn’s Disease, and he was advised to stop eating processed food.
“We like to know where our vegetables come from,” he has said in the past. “I know it sounds crummy, but food does taste better when it has just been picked or dug up.

“I’m very good at growing vegetables. I grow broccoli, cucumbers, cabbages, kale, beetroot, rhubarb and onions – all sorts.
“I think Zoe and me, it’s our kind of downtime. It’s great fun.”
It’s probably not how most people would imagine two big stars on one of Britain’s biggest shows spend their free time. We just love how down to earth they are!
