It’s been a long time coming, but Mercedes McQueen has made one too many enemies in Hollyoaks and someone ends up taking their revenge next week…
Mercedes is shot
Mercedes is left reeling when Grace plays her confession to the hit and run to the whole pub and begins to spiral out of control.
At The Loft, she takes drugs and steals money, and is dancing alone…
A mystery attacker comes in before picking up a gun and shooting her. Will she survive?
Jen Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes, says: “It’s about bloomin’ time – she’s an absolute wrong one, and I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner…”
Suspect A: The husband, Sylver McQueen
Sylver at first stands by his wife over the hit and run, saying he would have helped her if she’d come to him.
But he tells her he’d never forgive her if she had an affair with Liam. She swears on Bobby’s life she didn’t…
But will the truth about the affair come out? And will Sylver take his revenge then?
David Tag, who plays Sylver, says: “We know he’s got a bad temper…”
Suspect B: The lover, Liam Donovan
Liam’s a bad boy and next week even talks to brother Jesse about shooting Mercedes.
Liam and sister Grace decide Mercy needs to die, but can he really kill the woman he loves?
Jude Monk McGowan, who plays Liam, says: “I think Mercedes may have pushed him too far…”
Suspect C: The frenemy, Grace Black
Grace Black is back after she finds out the truth about the hit and run.
She dons her stilettos and her make up and plays Mercedes’ confession recording to the packed pub. It’s clear she’s after revenge.
Will she let the law deal with Mercy – or will she get her own justice?
Tamara Wall, who plays Grace, says: “Grace has just found out it was Mercedes who put her in a wheelchair, so she wants to get her revenge…”
Suspect D: The mother-in-law, Breda McQueen
Hollyoaks’ resident serial killer Breda has already tried to kill Mercedes twice.
Breda is the real murderer who killed Harry, so when everyone starts blaming Mercy, will Breda silence her to keep her own secret?
Moya Brady, who plays Breda, says: “Hollyoaks always pushes the boundaries, but they are being pushed even further…”
Suspect E: The priest, Joel Dexter
Joel already knows about Mercedes running over Grace.
He’s been threatened into silence after Mercy used his lover Goldie as leverage, but when Mercedes embarrasses him in front of the village, will he crack?
Rory Douglas Speed, who plays Joel, says: “He’s Warren Fox’s son and thinks this girl deserves what she gets…”
Suspect F: The lawyer, James Nightingale
James is distraught as he lays boyfriend Harry to rest.
He’s fuming when it’s revealed Mercedes ran over Grace, and Harry was framed.
As the village start to believe Mercy murdered Harry too, will James seek vengence?
Gregory Finnegan, who plays James, says: “James is hell bent on revenge – or is he?”
Suspect G: The cousin, Goldie McQueen
Goldie is stunned to find out the truth about the hit and run.
But she also knows Mercedes did not kill Harry – will she step up and protect her cousin?
Chelsee Healey, who plays Goldie, says: “Goldie is trying to keep all of the family together, hoping that Mercedes is ok.”
Suspect H: The friend, Diane Hutchinson
Diane is upset when no one comes to Harry’s funeral as they think he ran over Grace.
But Mercedes herself turns up to offer comfort.
When Diane finds out the truth, she’s set to feel totally betrayed by her friend…
Alex Fletcher, who plays Diane, says: “Diane blames Mercedes for pretty much everything, for the mess that her life’s in at the moment…”
