Hollyoaks Christmas spoilers revealed!

And no surprise which family takes centre stage!

This Christmas in Hollyoaks will be “shocking”, “exciting” and “fun” promises Bryan Kirkwood.

The boss of the C4 soap has teased the big storylines coming up over the festive period and reveals that the McQueen family will take centre stage.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Bryan says it will be a season to remember as the McQueens celebrate their first Christmas at the helm of The Dog In The Pond.

Viewers know that Mercedes recently returned to Hollyoaks and took over the pub after Marnie Nightingale put it up for sale.

Running the local boozer is one of the most important roles in the Chester village, and Mercedes has returned “more light-hearted, more liberated, a bit more cool” – so can we expect lots of festive cheer?

Bryan told the website: “We’re very excited about Christmas this year.

“It’s been many years since we had such a brilliant line-up of McQueen women in the show. For various off-screen reasons, we’ve rarely had Myra, Nana and Mercedes all together at the same time.

“Now with the brilliant additions of Cleo, Sally and Goldie to that line-up, this year is going to be a rocking big McQueen Christmas. It’ll focus on all factions of the family.”

Executive Producer Bryan, who’s been at the helm of Hollyoaks since 2012, went on to say that there’ll be “big shocks in store for Prince and Lily” and “loads of fun, laughs and shocks” along the way.

In fact, he ensured, “it’s going to be a riot”.

Fans will remember that last year’s Christmas episodes of Hollyoaks centred around the dramatic comeuppance of DS Armstrong.

The perverted creep came back to the village to terrorise the Cunningham family, and was eventually killed by Milo Entwistle on 21 December.

In shocking scenes, Armstrong was electrocuted when Milo threw a pan of water over him while he was wrapped in Christmas lights – a fair warning to anyone watching not to mess around with water and fairy lights.

Viewers also saw Courtney Campbell give birth to baby Iona, and Ste Hay give into temptation with killer Ryan Knight.
