Stephanie Davis has shared pictures of her bruised body as she reflected on her past struggles and how she has managed to ‘get back up again and again’.
The Hollyoaks actress, who is nominated in the Best Actress category at the British Soap Awards for her role as Sinead O’Connor, shared the shocking photos with her Instagram followers on Friday.
Reflecting on how much her life has changed since splitting from Jeremy McConnell, the father to son Caben, Steph said she’s now in a much better place.

The actress wrote: “I’m a firm believer of that ❤️🙏🏽 everyone has worked so hard! ❤️ 🙏🏽 For where I am in life now, I’m winning. It’s all about my beautiful baby boy & if I’ve made him proud, then that’s all that matters!
“I’ve over come so much, physical abuse broken nose broken ribs, severed tendons in my hand, bitten face bust lip, the list goes on, the worst mental abuse I wouldn’t wish on anyone, pregnant alone for 9 months, giving birth alone, lies and manipulation.
“Lies in the press, drinking to block the trauma and PTSD. Being lonely oh so lonely & drowning, no one listening, to finally trying to end my life…TO NOW… I fought through, I have worked my A** off on my self, in work, and EVERY aspect of my life!
“I struggled being a single mum, but I have done it, I’ve been knocked down massively but got back up & got back up & got back up again.”

She went on: “Caben has a happy mummy (still a tired one haha but happy) I met my best friend Owen and… I finally FINALLY got My happy ending! I gave my storyline I had my absolute ALL, my aim was to help people and it has!!!goal reached!! And I’m proud of myself for going over it all again.”
Steph, who is now sober, thanked her family for their support and gave a special shout out to boyfriend Owen Warner, who plays Romeo Quinn on the soap, and son Caben for “keeping me fighting & going from the very beginning, you are the reason I am who I am today & everything I do I do for you”.

As well as the pictures of her bruised legs, Steph shared shots from the day she gave birth to Caben and when she took him home from the hospital.
Steph and Jeremy met when they were both housemates on Celebrity Big Brother, and welcomed Caben in January 2017.
The pair split after Jeremy assaulted Stephanie while high on coke – he received a suspended sentence and community service for the attack.
