Viewers of Hollyoaks want to see either former EastEnders’ star Richard Blackwood or Casualty’s Charles Venn join the Channel 4 soap.
In a Digital Spy forum called ‘Hollyoaks: Mitchell’s dad’ one viewer wrote: “I just thought I might as well make a thread asking who you would like to see play Mitchell’s dad.
“I personally think Charles Venn or Richard Blackwood would be perfect for the role.
“Who would you guys like to see play Mitchell’s dad?”
One viewer responded: “Good suggestions. I would prefer Charles Venn. I can’t see either of them doing it though.”
A second put: “Either Charles or Richard.”

A third wrote: “Richard Blackwood would be a great addition to Hollyoaks, if not for Mitchell’s dad then someone who knows Warren from when Warren was in prison.”
Adding to that, a reader commented: “He could be Mitchell’s dad who Warren also knows from prison!”
Richard played Vincent Hubbard in EastEnders from 2015 till 2018.

Vincent was last seen in 2018 getting into a car with a police officer, who was corrupt, and the last we saw of Vincent he was being held at gunpoint, but his fate is unknown.
Last month, Richard played down him returning to EastEnders.
Charles Venn, who also appeared in EastEnders as Ray Dixon from 2012 till 2013, is currently played Jacob Masters in BBC’s medical drama Casualty.
