Jane Gurnett makes another guest appearance in tonight’s Emmerdale as Mary Goskirk’s date, Faye.
Mary has been waiting on tenterhooks for Faye to return from her work trip so they can have a second date.
And tonight’s the night!
So as Faye returns to screens, who is the actress who plays her?
Who plays Faye in Emmerdale?
Mary’s date Faye is played by an actress called Jane Gurnett.
It’s not been revealed how long Jane will be appearing in Emmerdale.
She’s been on our screens regularly since the eighties and has had roles in all sorts of television shows and in films.
She’s appeared in Birds of a Feather, Peak Practice and A Touch of Frost.
And she’s best known for playing Rachel Longworth in Casualty.
Rachel was a nurse who worked in the ED at the hospital. She was in the show from 1994 until 1996.
Jane’s television appearances
Jane has appeared as DI Gillian Cramer in Dangerfield, in Doctors, and last year was in cosy crime drama Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators.
She’s also had roles in Dalziel and Pascoe, and The Royal, and starred in the reincarnated Crossroads.
And as well as all that, she’s had starring roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at the National Theatre.
Keeping very busy!

The organisation also gives a voice to autistic people through creative projects.
Is it love for Faye and Mary in Emmerdale?
Mary has been struggling with the internet dating life.
Her first date Joy turned out to be a cyclist who arrived dirty and hadn’t even signed herself up for the dating app.
Mary’s second date failed to turn up at all, leaving her deflated and drunk.
But it seemed to be third time lucky with Faye.
It didn’t get off to the best of starts, though, when Mary turned up looking a wreck!
She had taken advice from half the village on how to act and got herself all in a muddle – make an effort, but look like you don’t care that much; make her feel special, but act nonchalent. It was all too confusing.
When Charity and Bob stepped in and told her she was making a fool of herself, Mary wised up. She finally took the right advice from Charity to just be herself.
Things went well as she and Faye bonded over Star Trek and past experiences. Just as they were about to share a kiss, Faye’s taxi driver honked his horn and she left.
Then, the day after their first date, Faye was called away on an emergency work trip.
Mary worried it was just an excuse not to see her again, however it seems that’s not the case as they head out for a second date tonight.
But is it love for Mary at last?
