Rita Simons has shared a photo of her ‘reuniting’ with her former EastEnders co-star Samantha Womack.
Rita, who played Roxy Mitchell in the BBC soap, posted a picture to her Instagram account next to Samantha’s poster for play The Girl on the Train, which she stars in.

Rita captioned the post: “And now we’re back togeeeeether! my sis round the corner from me at #DukeOfYorks with @girlonthetrainplay.”
One fan wrote: “Going to see it on Saturday.”
A second commented: “Loved the book.”
A third put: “Saw it in Sheffield a few weeks ago. Sam was brilliant – really enjoyed it xx.”
Samantha and Rita played sisters Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell on EastEnders from 2007 till 2017.
The siblings lost their lives on New Year’s day, which also happened to be Ronnie and Jack Branning’s wedding day, when they decided to go for a midnight dip in the hotel swimming pool.
Roxy, who was on drugs, jumped into the pool but never resurfaced.
Realising Roxy wasn’t coming up for air, a panicked Ronnie, who was giving new hubby Jack some time to read his kids a bedtime story up in their hotel room, decided to dive in after her, still in her wedding dress.

However, the drenched dress seemingly became so heavy that she was unable to save herself or her sister and both of them drowned.
Earlier this month, Samantha appeared on This Morning with Holly and Phil to talk about The Girl on the Train and EastEnders was brought up.
Samantha revealed the theory that Ronnie and Roxy faked their own deaths.
When Holly said people still figure out ways Ronnie and and Roxy could come back, Samantha said: “Yes, we’ve had loads of wacky suggestions.
“We’ve had somebody say because Billy Mitchell works in the funeral directors, there’s this drug that can make people look like they’re dead so it’s all been this whole thing and they faked their own deaths.”
Samantha went on to say she speaks to Rita all the time.
EastEnders is on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.
