Who are Carla’s family?
Carla was born January 3 1975. Her parents are Sharon Donovan and Johnny Connor.
She also has a stepmother, Jenny, who is Johnny’s wife.
Carla didn’t know Johnny was her dad until 2015. It turns out Sharon had an affair with Johnny, who was married to a woman named Louisa.

She married Nick Tilsley in between in 2016. But he dumped her during the speeches!
Her and Peter have been on and off for many years, but it seems he is the true love of her life.
Carla’s psychosis
Carla has been involved in numerous hard-hitting storylines over the years.
She has been married, involved in affairs, raped, had to deal with the loss of her unborn child and dealt family troubles.
But her struggle with psychosis after the death of her sister-in-law Rana, really cemented Alison King’s acting chops.
When the factory roof collapsed, killing Rana on her wedding day, Carla believed she was to blame. She had no idea Gary Windass had sabotaged the building.
Carla began to see Rana. But after she nearly fell off a fire escape, she was given help.
When did Johnny Connor die?
Carla was left grieving once again when Johnny died during 2021’s Super Soap Week.
He went down into the sewers to rescue estranged wife Jenny, who had fallen in when the Platts’ sinkhole collapsed.
Jenny made it out alive, but after hearing Aidan’s voice, Johnny went to be with his son, being sucked down into the water and drowning.
Carla grieved for her dad and was upset to have been left out of his will. She also lashed out at Jenny for moving on with toyboy Leo so quickly.
The pair reconciled however and remain friends.

Carla first appeared in Corrie in December 2006 and is played by actress Alison King.
Before playing Carla, Alison played Rebecca in the TV series Help in 2005.

Is Alison King married?
Alison is engaged to IT consultant David Stuckley.
The actress confirmed David popped the question in 2019, and admitted she had an idea he was about to propose because he “kept putting something on [her] finger”.
She told OK! at the time: “It was just a few days after our one-year anniversary.
“I had an inkling he was going to pop the question because he kept putting something on my finger and going ‘Right, close your eyes and forget this ever happened.’
“We’d also discussed marriage, too. I think we both went from, ‘No, we don’t ever need to get married,’ to, ‘Oh, we really want to get married.’ ”
Alison had bought him a Rolex watch and she gave him the present after he got down on one knee.
She added to the magazine: “I said, ‘Yes please,’ and then I gave him the watch. It was perfect, even though it didn’t go to plan.”
The actress revealed the couple were “relaxed” about their big day, which proved to be a good job when they were forced to cancel in 2020.
They were reportedly due to tie the knot in Greece in May, but the COVID pandemic put their plans on hold.
A source told The Sun: “Alison and her future hubby were hoping there was some way they could make the wedding work despite all the restrictions.
“But in the end they ran out of options. They hoped lockdown might lift enough to let them tie the knot but it proved too much of a logistical nightmare.
“The irony of it being like a Corrie plotline isn’t lost on them. They are trying to remain philosophical about the whole thing.”

How many children does she have?
In real-life Alison has a daughter called Daisy Mae, born in 2009. She shares her daughter with her former partner Adam Huckett, who was a sound technician on Corrie.
In a tragic twist, Alison’s good friend on Corrie co-star Kym Marsh revealed Daisy was born on the same day Kym gave birth to late son Archie.
Kym lost her son after he was born prematurely and he died shortly after he was born.
On her BBC show Morning Live in 2020, Kym revealed how Alison felt huge guilt over the circumstances.
Kym began: “My friend Alison King, a really good friend of mine who plays Carla Connor in Coronation Street, she gave birth to her daughter on the very same day that I lost my son – literally hours apart.
“And the immense guilt that she felt at the fact that she’d delivered her baby so safely and I’d lost my son, was such a hard time for both of us.”
But the friendship endured, with Kym revealing that mum-of-one Alison now stays in touch and they talk about their experiences.
“Actually, we bonded through that even more and, now we share the birthday pictures,” she added.
“I’ll light a candle for Archie, and I’ll send her a picture, and she’ll send me a picture of Daisy.”
