Jacob Hay first appeared in Coronation Street this year, but who is he and who plays him?
The character made his first appearance back in February.
Jacob tried to get Simon to deal drugs to make extra money. But he set up a fake drugs robbery, making Simon think he lost it and owed Jacob money.

He roped Simon into drug deliveries, but Jacob admitted to Simon he had been stealing from his boss Harvey.
When Harvey found out, he had Jacob beaten up and he hadn’t been seen since.
However tonight (Friday, November 26) Jacob returns when finds a drug dealer talking to Kelly Neelan and warns him to leave her alone.
Soon Stu, the homeless man who has been looking out for Kelly, comes along and tells Jacob to stay away.
Who plays Jacob Hay in Coronation Street?
Jacob Hay is played by actor Jack James Ryan and Corrie isn’t the first soap he’s appeared in.
In 2019 he played a character called Tyler in an episode of Emmerdale. The same year he played Matt Davies in an episode of Casualty.

Last year, he made an appearance in BBC daytime soap Doctors playing Jaysen Kenny.
In 2019, he also had a role in the film Military Wives playing Private Shaw. Former Corrie star Amy James-Kelly played one of the lead roles, Sarah.
Jack James Ryan – Is he related to Rebecca Ryan?
Jack is the brother of actress Rebecca Ryan.
Rebecca is well-known for her roles in Shameless, Waterloo Road, Emmerdale and Casualty.

Rebecca played Debbie Gallagher in Shameless from 2004 until 2009.
In 2006, she played Carly Hope in Emmerdale. However when the character returned in 2015, actress Gemma Atkinson took on the role.
Between 2009 and 2011 she played Vicki MacDonald in Waterloo Road. In 2017, she joined the cast of Casualty as Gemma Dean, but in 2019 she left the BBC medical drama.
Last year, Rebecca made an appearance in Doctors.
Will we see Jacob Hay again?
It hasn’t yet been revealed if we will see Jacob again, however Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, has said she hopes Jacob continues to wind Leanne up.
On Twitter Jack said: “Jacob Hay is back. I can’t even to begin to describe how chuffed I am to be back on those cobbles. There was so much unfinished business for Jacob so I can’t wait to tie up some loose ends. I’m beyond excited to see what you guys think.”
Jane responded saying: “Super chuffed to see this guy back on the cobbles – I hope he continues to wind Leanne up.”
