During his 18 months on the soap, Ray has proved to be a nasty character.
Currently Abi believes Ray is dead and that he was killed by Debbie Webster. However viewers know Ray is alive.
Although Debbie appears to be helping Ray escape the country and evade his crimes, she is actually setting him up.
But who plays Ray?
Who plays Ray Crosby in Coronation Street?
Ray is played by actor Mark Frost. Mark was born in Longbridge, Birmingham in 1968.

What else has Mark Frost been in?
Mark played Tom Carne in Poldark from 2015 until 2017.
Between 2017 and 2020 he played George Calendar in the CBBC series Hetty Feather.
He has also had roles in Casualty, Doctors, The Bill, Silent Witness, Heartbeat, Midsomer Murders, Law and Order: UK and and Stella.
As well as TV series, Mark has appeared in a few films. His most recent film role was playing Ewan Niles in Mayhem back in 2017.
The film starred Steven Yeun, who is well-known for his role played Glenn in The Walking Dead, and Samara Weaving, who played Indi Walker in Home and Away.
In 2009, Mark played Ebenezer Scrooge in a stage performance of A Christmas Carol. And from 2011 until 2012 he played The Joker in the stage show Batman Live.

What happens to Ray in Coronation Street?
After finding out about Debbie’s plans to turn him, he locks her and Kevin in the fridge.
Later, Abi and Faye discover Debbie and Kevin in the fridge, but they’re both unconscious.
As they’re loaded into an ambulance, a groggy Kevin reveals it was Ray who locked them in the fridge and Craig radios his boss to tell him they’re dealing with attempted murder.

Meanwhile Miles collects Ray from the police station and hands him his passport and flight details. A smug Ray waits in the airport lounge for his flight to Turkey.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays and Wednesdays 7.30pm and 8.30pm with an hour long episode at 7.30 on Fridays on ITV.
