Soap fans tuning in to watch dystopian drama Years And Years got an unexpected blast from the past last night.
On Tuesday evening (May 28), Russell T Davies’ black comedy turned even darker when more tragedy struck the Lyons family.
It was 2026 and, as well as a general election looming and monstrous politician Vivienne Rook with it, the personal lives of the four siblings were thrown into further turmoil when they heard unsettling news.

As Vincent’s ‘other’ son Steven welcomed them, fans noticed it was none other than former Corrie star Craig Gazey – aka hapless Graeme Proctor.
One swore: “Oh [bleep], it’s Graeme Proctor from Corrie! #YearsAndYears.”
Another remarked: “Graeme off Corrie #YearsAndYears.”
A third added: “Craig Gazey on #Yearsandyears klaxon.”

Craig, aka jailbird Graeme, left the ITV soap in July 2011 after three years.
He first appeared in April 2008 as David Platt‘s cellmate in a young offenders’ institution, but left to pursue work in the theatre.
Likeable Graeme had a stint as Weatherfield’s window cleaner and resident gardening expert before working in the Street’s butchers with Ashley Peacock.
Along the way he romanced Tina McIntyre and was run down in the street by his former cellmate.
Years And Years viewers would also have noticed a fleeting guest appearance from Steps star Lee Latchford-Evans.
The first episode threw another surprise at fans, as Hear’Say singer Noel Sullivan appeared as a single dad looking for love.
