Susanna Reid apologised to Good Morning Britain viewers on Tuesday after a guest used a very rude word before 7.30am.
The moment came as Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan spoke via video link from Strasbourg about Donald Trump’s historic meeting with North Korea leader Kim Jong-un.
He said that reaching a peace deal may still not help the U.S. President win over people who think he is not a good leader.
“It’s a common thing in politics, even if you do something people agree with, you quite often get, ‘well we didn’t want this from you, you bastard’. And I’m afraid that’s human nature,” said Mr Hannan.
His use of the b-word caused alarm in the studio, with mum-of-three Susanna quickly reacting to apologise to viewers for his language.
“Language we’re not actually allowed to broadcast at this time in the morning so apologies for that language while children are eating their Cornflakes and asking their parents what that means, but we all understood,” she told him.

“Susanna is our language monitor,” her co-host Piers Morgan chipped in.
Daniel also apologised for his choice of words but most viewers on Twitter seemed to find the moment amusing rather than offensive.
“Love a bit of swearing on GMB, the panic on Susanna’s face was priceless #gmb,” wrote one with laughing face emojis.
“Susanna, the early morning bleep police,” said another.
“AMAZING! I love how stressed presenters get when someone swears @GMB #GMB,” wrote a third.
“@DanielJHannan ‘language’ on #GMB a classic,” said a fourth.
However, the MEP dropping a swear word before 7.30am doesn’t beat Piers’ own record.
In April, he appeared to use the f-word when he teased weatherman Alex Beresford on air about not being able to access the new studio.

“I came *expletive* fifth in the dance show on ice,” Piers said just after 6am when doing an impression of Alex trying to tell security guards who he was.
