Katie Price misses out on Dancing On Ice after entering rehab

She's a huge fan of the show

Katie Price has lost out on a place on Dancing On Ice after going into rehab, it has been reported.

The 40-year-old, who is undergoing treatment at The Priory for post-traumatic stress disorder, was hoping for a big pay day amid well-publicised personal difficulties.

But plans for Katie to join the next series of the hit ITV talent show have been put on hold, according to The Sun Online.

A source told the site: “Katie told pals she was going on the show this year but unfortunately that’s not the case.

“They know she’s a huge fan of the show and that she would have made great viewing.

“But there was a long list of stars who really impressed at the trials.”

ITV bosses are reportedly supportive of her decision to enter rehab but believe Dancing On Ice will come too soon for her.

It has been a difficult year for Katie, with her mum Amy diagnosed with a terminal lung condition, her break-up with third husband Kieran Hayler, and a recent romance ending with Kris Boyson.

There have also been headlines about her financial situation.

The mum-of-five has been given until her court date of October 30 to work out a plan to repay her creditors or face being made bankrupt.

Her spokesperson said last month said: “Katie is aware of the hearing and is working with her advisers to resolve her current financial issues.

“She hopes to be in a position to do so and reach agreement with her creditors.”

Katie was linked to Dancing On Ice two years ago but it is believed her salary demand was too large.

She said last year: “They have asked me and I did go along so they have seen me on the skates.

“I would like to do it. It would be fun to try. It is dangerous but horse riding is dangerous.”
