So now old Pat Phelan is finally dead and gone – properly this time, there’s no way he’s coming back from that – it got us thinking about who else we wouldn’t mind waving a permanent goodbye to.
Josh Clayton

It’s possible that we hate sleazy, slimy rapist Josh even more than Pat Phelan, ya know? And now David has taken the HUGE step of reporting the mechanic to the police for his vile attack, we’re hoping Josh’s days are numbered.
Corrie boss Kate Oates has hinted that while Josh will get his comeuppance, it might not be in a court of law. She told Radio Times: ”
“I am not afraid of controversy. It’s more important to reflect the truth. If you tie things up with a bow, there’s a danger people take away from that: ‘It’s all right then, we don’t need to talk about this anymore, it’s done.’
“But it’s not done. There are lots of things within that story that we couldn’t show on screen. If I were going to show that story in court, I’d have been fascinated to have played the truth of it.”
Lachlan White
Not gonna lie, we could probably deal with him getting away with the car crash because he’s such an interesting villain. But we can never ever forgive him for what he did to poor Gerry.
We have a feeling that Lachlan will take another life before he finally gets what’s coming to him. And Emmerdale villains don’t always get a quick comeuppance.
It took six years after murdering his dad Tom for Carl King to have his head smashed in by Cameron Murrary.
Debbie Dingle
Bit of a controversial one here but we are pretty fed up of Debbie wrecking lives and getting away with it. Intentional or not, she is the reason Ross Barton is scarred for life and she really should pay for that. It’s how the moral world of soaps work.
But instead, Emmerdale bosses have turned her into a victim, with Ross shooting her and then disowning her when she confessed to her role in his acid attack.
Hayley Slater
Sorry EastEnders but we just haven’t taken this new Slater to our hearts. She just isn’t likeable – she’s slept with Kat’s husband and she tried it on with Stacey’s too. Have you ever heard of the Sisterhood, Hayley?
Not only that, but she’s tried blackmailing Kat over what happened in Spain with little Ernie too. Her backstory hasn’t been explored enough and we just don’t care.
It was always going to be a risk bringing a brand new Slater into this already established and popular family, but we’re not convinced it’s worked. We just don’t like her.
Nico Blake

Teen serial killer Nico seemed to get her comeuppance two years ago when she ‘died’ in a fire during Hollyoaks’ Spooktacular – her final words being that she hated mum Sienna.
‘Oaks viewers were stunned when she recently came back from the dead, revealed as Sienna’s stalker, before killing her mum. Only Sienna wasn’t really dead either, it was all a trick to lure her psycho daughter back.
