A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman in tears amid menopause confession
Back in July 2024, A Place in the Sun star Jasmine uploaded a video to her Instagram Story, in which she confessed that she’d been struggling “every day” with menopause symptoms.
In the video, a sobbing Jasmine said she felt “so unheard”. The video then cut to another clip of Jasmine, filmed six months after the first one.
“So that last clip was about six months ago and lots has changed since then, and it was from people talking about perimenopause on Instagram that I kind of put two and two together,” she said.
“I figured I need to talk about it as well because the more we talk about it the more women can be empowered to get help. I haven’t had classic symptoms like hot sweats and night flushes and when I had a conversation with my GP I was referred to get a blood test which came back normal,” she explained.

The star then continued. “When I finally spoke to somebody I was told I needed a psychologist so I went to a specialist menopause clinic, I was subscribed HRT and the day afterwards I kid you not, I was instantly lifted and went from feeling like I just couldn’t cope to feeling kind of normal again,” she said.
I’m still in the process of figuring out what I need but my mood is way better.
“I’m still in the process of figuring out what I need but my mood is way better, my memory is still terrible. She then added that she hopes by speaking about it more, more people will be able to get help.
Jasmine also posted a lengthy caption to go alongside the video.

‘I was barely struggling through each day’
“Let’s talk about perimenopause!” she wrote.
“Six months ago I was barely struggling through each day. For years I’ve had my suspicions that my symptoms were due to hormonal changes, but it’s only thanks to people talking about it on Instagram, that I became certain,” she then continued.
“Let’s be more open about it. It’s a normal thing that happens to virtually all women at some point. The most difficult part for me was getting the help I needed, because I was overwhelmed and not coping at all.
“Daily crying spells, rage, zero stress resilience became the norm. I eventually took the step of seeing a specialist because I just couldn’t go on like that and my mood was instantly transformed,” she then added.
Fans showed their support at the time. “Sending you lots of love. Promise you it gets easier xx,” one said. “Jasmine I love how real you are and opening up about this topic. Most of us go through hell with this transition in our life. Thank you,” another said.
The presenter was also supported after a new episode of A Place In The Sun earlier this month. It came after she was seen to ‘snap’ at a pair of “rude and annoying” house hunters on the show.
