Alan Titchmarsh’s wife Alison is a lucky woman – not only is her garden perfectly tended, but her husband 46 years is also something of a “sexpert”.
That’s if an old Wikipedia entry of his is anything to go by.
Back on 2009, it was reported that the Love Your Weekend presenter was publishing an updated version of the Kama Sutra.
Alan himself called the incident “embarrassing”.
So what happened – and did the saucy book ever come out?

As regular users of the site will know, anyone can edit anyone else’s Wikipedia page.
And this is just what happened to Alan back in 2009.
However, the prank went so far that the star’s agent was forced to deny the claims, and Alan himself was left red-faced.

Alan, who once won an award for the worst sex scene in a book for his novel Mr MacGregor, called the entry “embarrassing and wrong”.
“I know about the Wikipedia entry. It’s full of wrong facts,” he said when asked about it at the time.
“I do not have a new version of the Kama Sutra being published. I wish I knew how to change Wikipedia to make it correct,” he added.
Alan’s agent, however, seemed to see the funny side.
At the time, they said: “I can confirm that a book on Kama Sutra will not be forthcoming from Alan Titchmarsh, however popular it may be.
“It’s all a load of balderdash.”
‘Most grouped waxwork’
Not everything on the Wikipedia update at the time was “balderdash”, though.
At the time, it also included the claim that Alan’s Madame Tussauds waxwork was “one of the most fondled”.

And this is something the Love Your Garden star was happy to confirm.
“Yes, I’m the most groped waxwork! Isn’t it hilarious? My daughters tell me it’s because my model is next to Brad Pitt’s, so visitors get us confused,” he quipped.
Apparently the figure was so popular that lipstick had to be washed from its face twice a week!
