Alex Beresford stunned his colleagues on Good Morning Britain today when he revealed a surprising fact about his family history.
The weather forecaster shared the revelation as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid talked about a man dubbed “The Sperminator” coming on the show.
Ari Nagel, 42, has so far fathered 29 children after donating his sperm to women.
While the other presenters were amazed by this figure, Alex found it quite familiar.
“My grandfather had 27 children,” he revealed. “Nineteen with his first wife and eight with his second. His nickname was ‘Sweet Berry’.”
Piers and Susanna were amazed by Alex’s enormous family.
“27 children!” Piers exclaimed. “That’s a bombshell revelation! What about his two wives – that’s relentless – they were having children every two-and-a-half-years.”
He added: “It’s amazing, I thought I was doing well with four children!”
Alex agreed it was unusual, as his grandfather’s second wife was younger than his oldest children and he has more than a hundred first cousins.

“So there’s always a chance of bumping into a Beresford!” Susanna quipped.
Alex added: “I’ve only had one child so I have some catching up to do.”
Alex’s large family could serve him well when he takes part in Dancing On Ice in the New Year if they all vote for him.
However, Piers told him he wouldn’t be getting his support – but for a good reason.
He said: “As soon as I started being nice to Charlotte she went out so you’re better off if I don’t back you.”
He then added that Alex had to make it to week four on the show to surpass Charlotte Hawkins’ performance on Strictly, otherwise he would be GMB’s “biggest loser”.

It was revealed last week that Alex will be one of the celebrities taking part in the returning Dancing On Ice.
His colleagues tried to push him on the official start date this morning but he said it was a closely guarded secret. Let’s hope he hasn’t shared it with anyone in his family or soon loads of people would know!
