Alex Scott has responded to reports claiming she didn’t want her Strictly Come Dancing partner Neil Jones to return after he had to pull out due to injury.
For two weeks, Neil was replaced by last year’s Strictly champ Kevin Clifton. Despite Kevin having to step in at the last minute, the pair went on to score very highly.
Neil returned to the dance floor last night after his physio gave him the all-clear and the pair danced the Jive to Chubby Checker’s Let’s Twist Again, which earned them 31 points from the judges.
According to reports, Alex was said to be “fuming” that Neil had returned as she still wanted to dance with Kevin.
A source told The Sun: “Alex really likes Neil. She is incredibly loyal to him. But she and Kevin have amazing chemistry. He has really been bringing out the best in her.”
However, the former England football player took to Twitter to shut down the claims.

Replying to Alex’s tweet, he wrote: “Yep I started laughing when I read it this morning. As we all know happiness and positivity [don’t] make headlines… Anyway, who cares, we both had a great time and enjoyed every moment of that jive and that’s all that matters.”
It had been claimed that Alex ‘made it clear’ she wanted to continue in the Strictly dance competition with Kevin, who was knocked out in week three with his celeb partner Anneka Rice.
