Ann Widdecombe has weighed in on the Strictly Come Dancing kiss drama after pro Katya Jones and her partner Seann Walsh were pictured sharing a kiss after a night out.
Since the photos emerged, Seann has been dumped by his girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries and both he and Katya have apologised for their actions, calling it an “one-off mistake”.
On Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, Ann discussed the drama and had some advice for Katya’s husband fellow Strictly dancer Neil Jones, who has yet to speak publicly on what happened.

Presenter Piers Morgan was quick to quiz Ann on her time on the show and whether she had any urges to “get jiggy” with her partner Anton du Beke.
Ann replied: “Oh don’t be silly, he was in it for the dancing, I was in it for the fun and relaxation. And that’s what Strictly is meant to be about.
“There is no such thing as the curse of Strictly, it isn’t some hex… it’s their own lack of self-control.”
When asked about being close physically to a partner for so many weeks and how some people might find it difficult to exhibit self-control, Ann ranted: “Nonsense, look you know when you go on that’s the situation you’re going to be in.
“If you can’t handle that when the agent says, ‘We have a bid from Strictly’, say, ‘no thanks’. It’s as simple as that.”
Moving on to discuss Katya and Seann’s smooch, Ann admitted if she were Neil she’d have demanded Katya left the show for the rest of the series.
She said: “I have to say if I had been Katya’s husband, I would have just demanded she left the show for the rest of the series.
“I would have said, ‘I can’t trust you now, you’ve got to leave the show.'”
The former politician continued: “Given that he hasn’t taken that line and given that they have decided to go on dancing, it’s now very much down to the viewers.
“It’s perfectly valid for the viewers to say, ‘I was going to vote for them but I think now I won’t because I don’t want to watch this for the next however many weeks it is.'”
Meanwhile, former Strictly contestant and Olympic swimmer Mark Foster – who did the show ten years ago – also spoke about the Strictly ‘curse’.
He said: “If you don’t have trust in your relationship or there are cracks that could possibly appear in your relationship, you shouldn’t doing it in the first place.
“You are very connected, depending on what dance you are doing… in the workplace every day, people have temptation all the time, it’s whether you do something about it or not.”
Piers then revealed a poll by GMB viewers found 67% of people would not vote for Seann and Katya to stay in the competition.
On Tuesday, Strictly revealed that Seann and Katya will dance the Charleston on Saturday night’s show after reports claimed bosses had changed the pair’s upcoming routine to make it “less sexy” amid the drama.
It comes after Seann’s girlfriend hit out at him in a statement she shared on Twitter on Monday night, claiming he had called her “a psycho” and “mental” for suggesting “something inappropriate was going on” between him and Katya.
Rebecca also revealed she had ditched him and is “not sorry” for taking their cat.
At the weekend, Seann and Katya released statements to their Twitter accounts just hours after the images of them kissing were published by The Sun on Sunday.
Dancer Katya said: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks.
“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
