He’s usually the show favourite, but Anton Du Beke has come under some criticism this series, as some viewers felt he turned his partner Susannah Constantine into the joke act.
The couple became the first to be booted out of the competition last weekend.
On the other side of the fence, his fans have called for him to be given stronger contestants so he can remain in the competition for longer.
But it seems the pro doesn;t mind either way, and he will be sticking firmly with the BBC’s weekend extravaganza for as long as he can.
In fact, the 52-year-old says the only way he will ever leave Strictly Come Dancing is “in a box”!
The professional dancer was devastated when he and his celebrity partner Susannah Constantine were voted off ‘Strictly’ in the first week, after losing the dance-off to Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova, but Anton insists he will never quit the BBC One programme.
He told The Sun: “I want to do it forever. The only way you’ll get me off that show is if you wheel me out in a box.
“You won’t hear me knocking on the lid from inside. It’s not enough to slam a box on me, I would have to be dead!”
And he is refusing to be bitter about being booted out of the competition so early this year.
He said: “I’m the last person who should be grumpy about going first or going early because I’ve danced with a number of ladies low on the leader board and got through many weeks. So I can’t really say, ‘It’s unfair’. It’s the way it is.”
Anton adores how creative he can be on the show and loves working with less experienced performers.
He said: “Performing with the less experienced dancers gives me more of a licence to be creative — such as popping out of Susannah’s skirt with a pair of maracas.
“That’s legendary stuff. I loved that. That, for me, is the ‘Strictly’ experience.”

And he doesn’t think it would be right for him to be paired with younger contestants, such as Lauren Steadman, 25, and Vick Hope, 29.
He said: “I don’t think it would be appropriate if I danced with Lauren or Vicky. I fully accept that.
“As Gene Kelly once said, ‘I may not be the right age to play the romantic lead’. I’m OK with that.

“You have Giovanni (Pernice), Graziano (Di Prima), AJ (Pritchard) and Aljaz (Skorjanec) — they can dance with Lauren. I don’t mind who I dance with.”
