BBC star wins hearts by replying to fan mail years after it was sent!

She's such a sweetheart!

Father Brown star and former EastEnder Emer Kenny has won hearts on social media by admitting she’s just replied to some fan mail sent eight years ago!

The kind-hearted actress came across the letters which had been written to her when she was in EastEnders and forwarded to the wrong address.

“Do you think people would be weirded out when they receive a reply 8 YEARS LATE?” she asked on Twitter.

“Too bad, already sent them,” she added.

And when people started receiving their replies, they were thrilled.

“Got my reply a few days ago,” said one happy viewer. “I’d totally forgot about it!”

And another said: “8 years after writing for an autograph, I finally received one back from @MissEmerKenny. 11 year old me is screaming, thank you!”

And one cheeky fan – who’s obviously a soap viewer – said that he knew exactly what the letter opening would look like.

“I’m imagining them opening the letters, then their jaws dropping as the camera zooms in on them, followed by a duff-duff,” he joked.
