A Britain’s Got Talent child star has appeared on Lorraine almost 10 years on from her memorable stint on the competition – and she looked almost unrecognisable.
Singer Hollie Steel, aged just 10 when she wowed the BGT judges in 2009, was on the programme this morning (08.08.19) to chat about her experiences on the hit ITV talent show.
Hollie impressed the judging panel, which included Amanda Holden and Kelly Brook, at her audition and went on to reach the semi-finals, when she heartbreakingly forgot her lyrics and cried her eyes out on stage.

Speaking about that night on Lorraine, Hollie told host Christine Lampard: “I didn’t have my mum backstage and it was a bit like, ‘This is new to me’. It was live as well, which was new to me.
“Before I went on, someone said, ’50 million people are watching so don’t mess it up’. As a 10 year old I was like, ‘Okay’, and walked out by myself like, ‘Oh no…”
During her live semi-final performance, Hollie forgot the lyrics to the song she was singing.
Tearful, she asked co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly if it would be possible for her to have another go, but it wasn’t – all because of the show’s tight schedule.
That’s when Simon Cowell came to the rescue, as he vowed there would be time for her to sing again – and he made it happen.
Speaking to Christine, Hollie continued: “I’m so thankful he did. If he didn’t, I probably wouldn’t be singing now. It’s my passion, so thank you, Simon! It’s never happened before, how crazy is that? I pushed back the Ten O’Clock News!”
It is yet to be confirmed whether or not Hollie will be part of the upcoming Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions series.
Earlier this week, ITV revealed that the spin-off will be airing very soon.
