Boy band heartthrob entering Celebrity Big Brother house this Friday!

Girls' club set to become a boys' zone

The first ever all-female Celebrity Big Brother line up is set to come to an end this Friday as men start being introduced to the house.

Taking the house from a women only area to a boys’ zone, is Boyzone’s Shane Lynch.

The Sun reports that Shane will be entering the house later this week as part of the first wave of male housemates, after he opened up about his feelings on reality TV.

Speaking to Best Mag, Shane claimed that the opportunity to be part of shows such as CBB was a privilege celebrities should be grateful for.

“These experiences in life are something that celebrities are very blessed to be able to do,” he said. “Some people shun reality TV but I don’t.

“I think we’re very lucky to be offered these shows. It’s our job to entertain. I’m up for all of them. I’ll do anything that’s different.”

Shane is following in some family footsteps by joining the house after his sister Edele’s appearance on CBB in 2014.

The B*witched singer came sixth in her series of the show – will Shane be attempting to beat his sister’s performance?

CBB is far from Shane’s first foray into reality television – he appeared in the second season of Love Island, and in Sky One’s short lived Cirque De Celebrite.

He claims to not consider himself a celebrity, however, telling the Irish News he’s just a normal guy who happens to sometimes perform in a band.

“I’m just a guy who loves racing cars, working to look after my family, and every now and then I’m in a band called Boyzone,” he said.

“Experiencing that every so often is great, but when it finishes, I step back into being a normal guy again.”

Also said to be joining the house this week are Liverpool footballer John Barnes and Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell.

Jonny recently split from former CBB contestant Stephanie Pratt – it’s likely show bosses are hoping he’ll spice up the CBB house after he earned a reputation as a Lothario on Love Island.
