Bradley Walsh fans issued sad news

Both Brad and Barney are both booked and busy which means, sadly, there’s no time to film a new series of Breaking Dad any time soon.

A source told The Sun late last year that a sixth series had been confirmed. However, it’ll be a while till we see it.

“They’re thrilled to be back together for a sixth series of Breaking Dad, where they genuinely have as much fun as it looks on screen.” The insider then claimed the new series will be the “wildest” yet.

Bradley Walsh Breaking Dad 2024 series is unlikely

However, despite a series dropping every January since 2019, because of how busy they are – a 2024 series is said to be unlikely.

The source added: “Filming is expected to kick off later this year when Bradley and Barney can commit time to being away from the UK together. It can take five to six weeks on the road to film the entire Breaking Dad series. So it is thought there’ll be a longer wait for fans. With transmission most likely in 2025.”

Entertainment Daily has contacted ITV for comment.

Bradley and son Barney

While the sixth series might not be on screens for a while, in 2023 Barney and Bradley revealed they had no plans of stopping the series.

Barney confessed to his father that the memories they’ve made over the past five years are his favourite thing about the show. He said: “We are so blessed to be able to around the world and do this.”

In the meantime, fans can console themselves with repeats of the series. They’re currently airing on ITV1. This is thanks to schedule shake-ups surrounding the Euros. It’s next on Thursday (July 4) at 7pm.
