The Chase host Bradley Walsh was stunned during yesterday’s episode as a contestant was revealed to be a forgotten Corrie star!
To make matters even more bizarre – Bradley has also appeared on Coronation Street before. This then led to the host and the contestant trying to work out if they’d been on the soap at the same time!
The Chase host Bradley Walsh stunned by contestant’s revelation
Yesterday’s edition of The Chase saw four new contestants take on The Chaser in the hope of winning big.
Amongst the contestants was Nina, a 43-year-old model booker from Warrington.
However, Nina had a shock revelation to make when speaking to Bradley before her cash builder. During their chat, Bradley asked her how she got into model booking.
Nina revealed that she was a TV extra and did some modelling herself in the past, so was already on the books – which is how she got the role.
“As a TV extra, did you ever work on Coronation Street?” Bradley asked. “Yeah, loads of times,” Nina replied.

Bradley seemed pleasantly surprised by the revelation.
“Oh, ok, did you ever work when I was on it?” he asked. Bradley, of course, was on Coronation Street between 2004 and 2006. He played the role of Danny Baldwin for 391 episodes during his two years on the programme.
Unfortunately for Bradley, Nina had never worked on the soap while he was on it. “No, unfortunately not,” Nina laughed in response.
Nina then went on to pick up £4,000 in the cash builder, before being caught by Jenny Ryan.
Mark Labbett supported after confessing to having a ‘breakdown’
In other The Chase-related news, Mark Labbett was supported by his co-star, Paul Sinha, after confessing to having had a breakdown on the show.
Taking to Twitter last week, he wrote: “I had a breakdown prior to the final chase, was utterly demoralised by yet another star team :(,” he wrote.
Paul was quick to show his support. “It’s easily lost we’re not robots, we’re human beings trying our best. Whatever you see on screen is a snapshot of us at an unspecified moment sometime in the last 18 months,” he tweeted in response.
“We could have been under stress for any number of reasons, much of [which] may be long forgotten,” he then added.
“I think actually it’s quite reassuring to the rest of us that you show your human side occasionally,” one fan commented.
The Chase airs on weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
