Brendan O’Carroll has sent fans into a spin after making a shock statement about Mrs Brown’s Boys.
In a new interview, the Irish comedian has reportedly threatened to kill off Mrs Brown if the BBC ever decided to axe the popular TV show.
Brendan has said he is contracted with the Beeb for the next 18 months, but that his leading character Agnes would be a goner if the plug is then pulled.

Speaking to the Daily Star, 62-year-old Brendan said: “We are booked to do Christmas specials for the BBC until 2020 but if they go, ‘We are going to drop you as we don’t think it’s strong enough’ then I’d kill Agnes off.
“Our final episode would be the funniest show I’ve ever written for the first 24 minutes.
“Then the last four minutes would break your [bleep] heart.”
Mrs Brown’s Boys first hit TV screens in 2011 and it follows the story of loud-mouth Irish matriarch Agnes Brown and her family.
The comedy show has won three National Television Awards and a BAFTA Television Award.
Tonight (Saturday 19 May), Brendan will star in a new series of his talkshow, All Round To Mrs Brown’s.
In a separate interview, he joked that Agnes wasn’t very impressed about sharing the launch date with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day.
Brendan told The Sun: “Mrs Brown is coming back on the same day out of spite because she wasn’t invited to the Royal Wedding.

“But Mammy is a royalist at the end of the day. She would see the Queen as the British mammy, rather than the Queen.
“If Agnes and Queen Elizabeth were to sit down to talk, the first thing Mammy would say to her is, ‘Those kids must drive you feckin’ mad!’”
