Brian McFadden says Gemma Collins is a “pain in the backside” on Dancing on Ice.
The 38-year-old singer admits the reality television star is “amazing” and “brilliant” when she is being herself, but when she adopts her so-called alter-ego – “The GC” – she can be annoying.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Brian said: “She’s amazing, I love Gemma. The GC can be a pain in the backside, but Gemma herself is brilliant. I love Gemma.”
Brian also made a quip about his pal James Jordan – who wowed the judges on Sunday’s show – joking his skating skills are “quite average”.
He said: “I think he’s quite average, actually. I mean he looks great in a pair of tights.”
The former Westlife singer has previously joked about 38-year-old Gemma’s “diva” behaviour and revealed the show’s contestants have a WhatsApp group which she is sometimes blocked from when she is “rude”.
He told BANG Showbiz: “She gets removed when she’s rude. She can be a diva to all the ITV people, but when she’s a diva to us she gets blocked.
“The group is called Icicles. The picture is us, four or five of us, me, James, Gemma, Wes [Nelson], Ryan [Sidebottom] and Melody [Thornton], on the first night we all met.”

The Irish singer and TOWIE star Gemma have become fast friends since rehearsals began on this series of the ITV skating show.
But others have been less able to laugh off The GC’s controversial antics.
Viewers have called for her to walk, after she made it through this weekend, despite yet another poor performance.
She also fell out with judge Jason Gardiner, when she accused him of “selling stories” about her live on an episode.
The 47-year-old judge had previously called Gemma “lazy” and “mediocre” in an interview.
He said: “I can always see who’s lazy. Gemma is lazy. She doesn’t look like her heart is in it at all.
“But I had heard the hype from her own mouth, how amazing she is and how she’s better than Beyoncé.
“But then she came out and did what can only be described as one of the most painful routines I’ve ever had to sit through.”

Gemma’s lucky to have Brian as a friend. Maybe The GC should try being friendlier to everyone, too?
