Simon Cowell – and a fair few viewers of Britain’s Got Talent – got something in their eyes as a contestant proposed to his girlfriend.
Jacob Jones had come on the entertainment show after his girlfriend Faye Compton – watching in the audience – sent in the application.
The 27-year-old performed You Are So Beautiful, but was interrupted by Simon who told him he sounded too much like Joe Cocker.
The head judge gave Jacob another chance after asking him to tone down the rasp.
This impressed all the judges, who each gave him a yes.
Emotional Jacob then explained that he was hoping to get one more yes.
The audience cooed as they worked out what was about to happen.

Jacob asked Faye to join him on stage, and told her: “I love you literally more than anything and I’m so glad that you believe in me.
“You did this to me and I wanted to ask you something…”
He then dropped down to one knee, before popping the question: “Faye Compton, will you marry me?”
She said yes, as Simon, and fellow judge Amanda, teared up.
The proposal is actually the first to occur on Britain’s Got Talent.
A source on the show revealed: “It was one of the most emotional moments on the show we’ve seen for a long time.”
“Simon was so chuffed for the pair of them. He was so emotional.”
