Ahead of the start of the new series, Love Island host Caroline Flack has revealed that she’d have “definitely” applied to take part in the dating show in her younger years.
Speaking during an Instagram Q&A, Caroline, who turns 40 in November, answered questions from her followers.
One asked: “Would you participate in a Celebrity Love Island special or as a contestant?”
“No,” she initially answered, before adding: “But if I was young, like 18-25, I would’ve gone on Love Island definitely.”
Revealing that she knows all there is to know about this summer’s batch of hopefuls, Caroline was asked if she’d met the new islanders and if they have “layers like an onion”.

Laughing, she said: “I haven’t actually met the islanders. I never actually meet the islanders until they walk in the villa and meet each other.”
She added: “But I know everything about them and I do all my research.”
Promising that this year’s show – which starts on Monday June 3 – would be “juicy”, Caroline admitted: “However, it’s not the juiciness that gets everyone going. I think it’s the actual love, the falling in love.”
She added: “It’s the good bits, not the juicy bits.”
Of course, opening yourself up to questions from the public is always going to be risky, and Caroline was naturally asked about her own love life.
Caroline split from fiancé Andrew Brady for the final time back in December, and has been linked to the likes of Prince Harry, Harry Styles and Niall Horan.
With a pal revealing that the most asked question during the Q&A was whether Caroline was single, she remained coy and told her followers: “Thank you for being so interested in my love life.”
She added: “One does not reveal what’s going on in one’s love life at the moment.”

However, the probing questions kept on coming, with one asking if Caroline liked her “toes sucked”. Looking embarrassed, she admitted: “I actually do, yeah.”
She was also asked if her followers could take her on holiday or out on a date, with the star opting to “take the holiday”. She added: “I’ll say no to the date.”
Whether she’s sworn off men after her break up, or has a new man that she’s remaining tight-lipped about, it’s clear Caroline hasn’t given up on finding the one.
“What’s the meaning of life?” a follower asked.
“Love,” Caroline admitted simply.
