Casualty preview: Ethan’s past comes back to haunt him with a pregnant patient

Just watch his face drop!

Ethan goes a ghostly shade of pale when he realises his latest patient is linked to a face from his past – and it’s a part of his past he’s done his best to forget.

This Saturday (7 April), a heavily pregnant woman is evicted from her home by debt collectors and forced onto the streets, only to go into a labour at a bus stop. All classic Casualty so far…

But, when Leigh-Anne arrives at Holby City’s casualty department, it becomes clear that she is going to be more than an average patient for the usually-cool Ethan.

She is rushed straight to resus on arrival at the hospital but, rather than be happy about getting medical attention, she is livid that she’s been bought to this hospital.

Soon, she reveals that she believes the hospital is a bad omen, as her boyfriend Scott Ellison died there.

Yes, the very same Scott Ellison who murdered Ethan’s brother Cal.

Avid Casualty viewers will know that when Scott was bought into the ED, Ethan did nothing to help when he started fatally choking.

And here is his girlfriend, pregnant with Scott’s child. Oh dear, Ethan, what are you doing to do now?

In fact, after initially trying to avoid the patient after realising her identity, Ethan becomes dangerously involved in the case – even stepping in to secure Leigh-Anne new accommodation.

Eagle-eyed viewers might recognise Leigh-Anne as the mysterious brunette who appears in the Casualty spring trailer…

So we know Ethan sees her again. And we know, they lock lips.

Something tells us this is the beginning of a very interesting storyline…
