Casualty will return to screens this week as the ‘missing’ episode from May is going to be aired this Saturday (September 26).
Currently Casualty is on an extended break. The BBC medical drama was forced to suspend production earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But back on May 2, fans were left confused as they sat down to watch Casualty, only for an announcement to explain the episode would not be shown as it was too close to home amid the pandemic.

The episode, which had been filmed pre-lockdown, did not air that night. However the episode will be airing on Saturday.
Casualty – What happens in the ‘missing’ episode?
In the episode, there’s plenty of drama for Holby City’s accident and emergency department as they deal with more sick and injured patients.
Rash is also forced to intervene as a disaster strikes the accident and emergency department. Meanwhile Marty reconnects with his homophobic father.
There will also be dramatic scenes between Ethan, Fenisha and Will. The conflict surrounding the father of her baby will come to a head.
We are really proud of this Casualty episode.
After the episode failed to air earlier this year, the BBC responded to complaints.
In statement they explained the episode had been written and filmed last year. But it wasn’t appropriate to broadcast at the time.

Speaking about the decision to air the Casualty episode, Head of Continuing Drama at BBC Studios, Kate Oates, said: “We are really proud of this Casualty episode are excited to now share it with audiences.
