Just when it looked like Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s marriage might finally be sailing into calmer waters, it appears there might be another storm on the horizon.
After Wayne was arrested for drink-driving back in September – while travelling with another woman, Laura Simpson – fans of the couple feared that it might spell the end of the Rooneys’ relationship.
Since then, it seems the couple have been working hard to patch up their differences. Wayne has publicly condemned his “stupid mistake”, while Coleen has said of their marriage that she’s “trying to make it work”.
Now, though, they could be facing another load of grief, as it’s been reported that Celebrity Big Brother bosses are looking to sign Laura up for the next series…
A source told The Sun that office worker Laura has offered Channel 5 chiefs “a detailed step-by-step run-through of everything that happened between her and Rooney in the [Celebrity Big Brother] house”.
However, according to the newspaper’s report, nothing has been finalised yet, as the two parties have been unable to agree on a fee.
The source continued: “She’s been offered £55k, but she’s demanding £75k. Laura has a really good job and a lot of work throughout January, so to sacrifice all of that for £55k wouldn’t be beneficial to her.”
Earlier this week, Laura fiercely denied that she was stirring up trouble by sharing a picture of a Christmas gift she’d received.

Alongside a photo of a book entitled How To Be A Footballer’s Wife, she tweeted: “What a great Secret Santa present.” She also included a series of ‘crying with laughter’ emojis.
But after newspaper reports accused her of ‘poking fun’ at Coleen, she retorted: “This is comical. I have not poked fun at anyone. How is #secretsantabanta trolling? Mental.”
And she later followed that up by saying: “What a load of [expletive]. It’s a photo of my secret Santa gift. It’s funny. It’s a laugh. It’s nothing else. Not a poke. Not a dig. Not anything.”
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has revealed that he’s “enjoying” his community service.

The Everton footballer was sentenced to 100 hours’ unpaid work, and has been helping adults with learning difficulties at a garden centre.
He told Talksport: “Honestly, I’m really enjoying it, working with these people, and I think it’s a place now where I’ll certainly keep in touch with when obviously my hours are over.
“We actually don’t even talk about football in there. It’s a refreshing place to go and it’s relaxing.”
