Calum Best has fanned the flames for a return of reality dating show Celebrity Love Island after revealing he would appear on a revival “in a heartbeat”.
The model and son of football legend George Best won the show alongside Bianca Gascoigne in 2006.
Back then in its original form, it was aired on the main ITV channel and ran for two series from a villa in Fiji full of famous faces.
The show was axed following a slump in ratings but rumours have been circulating that the celebrity version could make a comeback ever since ITV2 surprise hit Love Island proved massively popular after relaunching in 2015 with a cast of unknowns.
The show, which is hosted by Caroline Flack and now based in Majorca, will return for a fourth, highly anticipated series this summer.
Calum, who is no stranger to TV dating and reality shows, told The Sun: “I’ve done about four of them and none of them have got me a missus. I’m still looking. Trust me.
Speaking about his time on the 2006 Love Island series, he said: “I remember I went to Fiji — now they do it in Spain — for me it was in Fiji.

“It was an island you had to take a boat to and they built this house. It was the time of my life.
“Six weeks I spent on this island in Fiji. (They) fed us, gave us booze, hot chicks. It was the dream. I’d be on that in a heartbeat.”

In addition to his triumphant Celebrity Love Island stint, Calum has tried in vain to find love on E4’s Celebs Go Dating and E! channel’s Famously Single, as well as starring on two series of Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother.
He even had a cameo role on the first series of ITV2’s rebooted Love Island three years ago.
Calum turned up at the villa unannounced and took the male half of the villa out for a night clubbing in Magaluf.
