She said: “Sometimes people come up to me in the supermarket and say, ‘Give him a slap from me’ and I don’t know what they’re talking about – then I realise they mean Piers.
“It’s funny seeing those reactions. People either love him or hate him, it’s fair to say.”
In the same interview Charlotte adds that she’d quite like to give acting a go.
In fact, the presenter and former fashion model has already appeared in a Hollywood movie, Burnt, starring Bradley Cooper.

Playing a newsreader, she admits that it wasn’t too much of an acting stretch for her, and that she’s desperate to appear on one particular BBC show.
She said: “As a child, I wanted to do acting as well, so it would be amazing if I got to do that some day. I tried to get myself a part on Death In Paradise the other day, but I’m still working on that one.”
Charlotte has been a working broadcaster and journalist since 1999.
Starting off her career as a newsreader at ITN, she’s gone on to present for Sky News, Channel 5 and of course now ITV on Good Morning Britain.
And let’s not forget her 2017 stint on Strictly Come Dancing. Paired up with Brendan Cole, they were eliminated in the fourth week.
