She’s mentoring acts to become the Greatest Dancer but Cheryl’s own moves have room for improvement, according to some.
A number of viewers of the BBC show criticised the former Girls Aloud star’s timing as she took to the stage with her fellow captains Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse at the start of Saturday evening’s episode.
They said the mum-of-one was out of sync and out of her depth as she performed alongside the professional dancers.
“Is it me or did Cheryl just forget half of the entry routine for the judges?” asked one on Twitter.
“Cheryl for sure was out of her league,” agreed another.

“#GreatestDancer opening let down by Cheryl there, out of time and just looked awkward!!!” said a third, while a fourth said: “Not surprised that Cheryl messed up her routine tonight. She didn’t have a clue. Forgot her moves and out of time. How can she mentor ‘real’ dancers when she can’t mentor herself.”
Others said the star “screwed up” and was “off-time”.
But not everyone was critical of the 35-year-old singer.
Some said they thought she “smashed” the dance routine and praised her coaching of her three acts, as well as her flawless appearance.
The Greatest Dancer is Cheryl’s return to primetime telly following the birth of her son Bear, one.
The former X Factor judge has chosen three acts – FroBacks, Dane Bates Collective and Harry & Eleiyah – who she believes can win the show.
The champions will pocket £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.

Cheryl’s three are currently still in the running after Oti’s drag act Globe Girls were the first to be eliminated this weekend.
Next week the remaining contestants will have to up their game with the help of their captains as two acts will be going home.
The BBC will hope the audience taking control by voting for their favourite acts will help boost viewing figures. So far, the series hasn’t been pulling in as many people as ITV’s The Voice.
