TV presenter and Loose Women star Christine Lampard has gushed over her husband Frank’s new job with Premier League side Chelsea.
On today’s episode (July 4), she revealed that the former footballer, 41, has signed a three-year deal with his old club to become the team’s new manager.
He is taking over the role from Maurizio Sarri, having managed Championship club Derby County since May last year.

The promotion means that Christine, 40, and their nine-month-old daughter Patricia are moving back to London.
Speaking on Loose Women, Christine beamed as she said: “It has been mad. If you don’t know, Frank has signed for Chelsea. Not to play!
“It’s quite a big deal. It’s been a whirlwind couple of days, but yeah, it’s out there now. He’s back to where it sort of all began and it’s a huge deal for all of us.”
Fellow panellist Nadia Sawalha asked her if it will mean Frank has to change more nappies and Christine joked that he hadn’t changed many.
She continued: “[It’s] definitely nearer home, though. Obviously, he was at Derby last year and we had the most remarkable year in Derby. To all the fans who were fantastic with us, we loved it and everyone at the club. They couldn’t have been better to us.”
Speaking further, Christine said she feels “privileged” for Frank to have had his year at Derby County, but the new role at Chelsea is a “glorious” opportunity for him – although she admitted it could prove “stressful”.

The other Loose Women quipped that she could bring them all along to Chelsea games and Christine joked that she will get them good seats as she knows “someone in the know”.
Christine and Frank started dating in 2009 and tied the knot in 2015.
Their daughter, Patricia, is Christine’s first child. Frank has two other daughters, 13-year-old Luna and Isla, 12, both from his relationship with former fiancée Elen Rivas.
