A former winner of Come Dine With Me has admitted to engaging in sexual activity with a schoolboy – the son of her friend.
Lucy Haughey, 37 – a mum-of-three – pleaded guilty at Glasgow city’s Sheriff’s Court today.
The court heard how the youngster told his mum he was going to play football, before arriving at Haughey’s home.
She had invited him to come over for sex via Facebook messaging.
The incident, on June 25 of last year, came to light after Haughey confessed to another friend what she had done, referring to herself as a “bad person”.
She wrote: “He wanted introduced, I’m an expert, it happened.
“He had a crush on me but I also had a lot of respect for him.
“I’m glad it was me and not a skinny, skanky 15-year-old schemie.”
When asked if the boy’s mother knew, Haughey replied: “She can’t ever know.”
Haughey asked the friend to delete their Facebook exchange, but they instead told the boy’s mother.
Procurator fiscal depute Claire Whyte explained to the court: “The disclosure made did not sit well with her [friend], she contacted the boy’s mother via Facebook.”
The teenager “broke down and started crying and admitted to having sex with the accused” when he was confronted.
Sheriff Barry Divers placed Haughey on the sex offenders register, and deferred sentencing until a later date.
Haughey’s episode of Come Dine With Me aired on Channel 4 this January.
