Coronation Street boss teases two new female characters will join the cast

New faces are on their way!

Two new young female characters are heading to the cobbles this Spring – and they’ll shake up Coronation Street promises soap boss Kate Oakes.

Trainee hairdresser Emma Brooker will start an apprenticeship at Audrey’s hair salon.

She’s played by young actress Alexandra Mardell, who graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2015.

Since then, she’s guest starred in the ITV crime drama, Vera, opposite Brenda Blethyn.

“Kayla will be working in Speed Daal (Zeedan Nazir’s new restaurant),” reveals the Corrie boss. “She’s going to be causing trouble for Bethany and Craig…”
