Corrie fans celebrated last night after a dramatic plot to kidnap Rana was foiled at the last minute.
Tense scenes showed the nurse being tricked by her mum, who wanted to steal her away from girlfriend Kate and take her to Pakistan against her will.
Fans were left “shouting at their screens” during the emotional scenes and were thrilled when Rana’s loved ones – led by Kate – saved the day.
Phew!
Unable to accept Rana’s sexuality, her parents planned to take her abroad for a new life – crucially without her consent. And we know she wouldn’t want to leave Kate!

However, when Yasmeen and Imran realised that something was amiss, they jumped into action and intercepted the Habeebs.
Meanwhile, Kate raced to Rana’s rescue and brought her home.
After ‘Kana’ were tearfully reunited, Corrie fans flocked to Twitter to share their joy – and to praise actors Faye Brookes and Bhavna Limbachia for their portrayal of Kate and Rana.
One said: “Wow! Corrie was brilliant tonight. I haven’t been so far off my chair in ages. Hopefully no one heard me shouting at the screen “rana don’t listen to your mother” good job!”

Many more viewers thanked the soap for tackling such a hard-hitting storyline.
One fan even worried that the storyline might evolve into something more sinister, tweeting: “Does anyone else think this storyline with Rana going to Pakistan will evolve into an honour killing story?”
But, for now, Rana is safe and she and Kate can focus on their relationship.
But should they and will they report her parents to the police?
