Fiz Brown has been having a rough time of it lately, so she’ll be thrilled when an old friend returns to Coronation Street in her hour of need.
It’s been revealed that Fiz’s pal Kim Vaughan will come back to Weatherfield – but could this spell even more trouble for estranged couple Fiz and Tyrone?
Corrie fans will know that Kim is played by Tom Shaw, whose real life wife Paula Lane played Kylie Platt in the soap for six years.

In fact, it was our Paula who announced the news that her husband’s character was returning on Twitter.
We hope she hasn’t got into trouble with Corrie bosses!
When @itvcorrie scripts come through the letterbox then I realise they’re not for me! @SirTomShaw over to you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Paula shared the news when she tweeted late on Thursday night (22 March): “When @itvcorrie scripts come through the letterbox then I realise they’re not for me! @SirTomShaw over to you.”
Corrie’s Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby was one of the first to reply, saying: “Wish they were for you, we miss you.”
And a throng of Paula’s 249,000 followers agreed with Jane, begging for her to return to the soap.
Yes, a troubled David would love to see her. But, come on guys, she did die!
His character can come back for Fiz now !

Others wanted the gossip about Kim’s return, with one simply demanding: “Spill.”
Another said: “His character can come back for Fiz now!”
While one was suspicious, tweeting: “So Fiz’s mate coming back to have a sniff around now she’s single….”
Hmmm, what will Kim’s intentions be?
Viewers will remember that Tom joined the cast for a brief guest stint last year as Fiz’s childhood friend.
Despite the fact that Kim’s gay, Tyrone still felt uneasy over Fiz’s friendship with the antiques specialist.
We reckon Kim’s return will cause even more problems for one of Corrie’s favourite couples, Fiz and Ty – and they certainly don’t need anything or anyone else to rock the boat at the moment!
Fiz was recently left devastated when she discovered Tyrone had had a one-night-stand with his friend Gemma Winters.

But she’d been keeping a secret of her own – that it was her daughter Hope who had been playing up, and not Ruby as she’d led him to believe.
With the pair on the rocks, Fiz will appreciate having another friend around… But we’re pretty sure Tyrone won’t!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
