Coronation Street legend Julia Haworth has swapped her acting career for a new profession.
The actress played hapless Claire Peacock in the ITV soap eight years between 2003 and 2011.
But now she has opted to go into teaching and help the next generation of performing talent develop their skills.
She is currently taking a teaching qualification at the University of Bolton via Bolton College.
Julia, who has been a working actress for more than 25 years, has been getting real-world experience of teaching as part of the course.

She has been helping performing arts students at Bolton College with her skills.
According to thisislancashire.co.uk she has been giving lectures on the television and film industry and helping students to develop their on-camera acting skills.
She told thisislancashire.co.uk: “As an actor still working professionally within the entertainment industry, the knowledge and skills I am teaching to the Performing Arts students here at Bolton College are 100 per cent up to date, accurate and relevant.
“This is imperative in a rapidly changing industry and in helping the learners with their future employability.”
Earlier this year Julia appeared on screen in American drama The Royals opposite Liz Hurley.
Julia’s Corrie character Claire was last seen in 2003 desperately fleeing the country.

After a vicious row with killer Tracy Barlow about how she used her to get away with murder, Claire lashed out.
She left Tracy unconscious in the alleyway and desperate for revenge.
But instead of going to prison, Claire fled to France with her two kids and hasn’t been seen since and now it looks like she will never return.
