There is some tragic news for Coronation Street’s Toyah Battersby as she discovers the surrogate carrying her and Peter Barlow’s baby has had a miscarriage.
Eva Price finds a devastated Toyah crying her eyes out at the back of The Rovers.

And when Toyah tells Eva what’s happened, Eva starts to feel guilty about her own unwanted pregnancy.
Later, Toyah heads to Peter’s Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, hoping to break the news to him quietly.
But Toyah is stopped in her tracks as she hears Peter starts to chat excitedly to his group about the baby and how being a parent will change his life.
She’s left facing a tough decision but will she shy away from telling Peter the heartbreaking truth?
And how will Toyah react when she overhears Eva talking to Shona Ramsey about her unplanned baby?
Toyah and Peter were expecting the baby through Jacqui after their attempts at IVF failed.
The surrogacy was Toyah’s last hope of becoming a parent.
Meanwhile Eva realised she was pregnant this week after complaining to Shona about feeling off colour.
Following a dating scan the barmaid also discovers she’s actually 17 weeks pregnant, meaning the baby can only be ex-fiance, Aidan Connor’s.
Eva and Aidan split up after she faked a pregnancy as revenge for him cheating on her with her best friend, Maria.
Maria discovered Eva’s baby lie and revealed the truth at her and Aidan’s wedding causing Aidan to dump Eva.
This latest twist in the tale suggests that Eva was actually pregnant at the wedding.
Corrie fans have already started making predictions that Toyah will adopt Eva’s baby.
“Will Eva keep the baby or give to peter and toyah?” pondered one viewer.
