Since Carla Connor turned up on the cobbles over Christmas, her ex husband, Peter Barlow, has been watching her from afar.
It’s clear for anyone to see – even his current partner Toyah Battersby – that Peter isn’t as over Carla as he’d like everyone to believe.

He’s been seething with jealousy since finding out about Carla’s steamy fling with his half-brother, Daniel Osbourne, and now viewers believe it’s only a matter of time before the former flames reunite.
In last night’s dramatic double-bill Peter watched on in horror as Carla collapsed on the floor of The Rovers, shocking her family and friends, who didn’t all know about her serious kidney condition.
An ambulance was called and Carla regained consciousness, and fans believe they clocked a look of pure relief on Peter’s face, suggesting he’s still in love with her.
Viewers recall that Peter and Carla were married, but Peter cheated on her with Tina McIntyre on their wedding night and carried on an affair with the barmaid until he was caught out.
After Carla was rushed to hospital, Peter scathingly asked Daniel if he’d be going to visit her seeing how he is her ‘boyfriend.’
He then accused Daniel of not knowing about Carla’s life-threatening condition because he only had one thing on his mind.
The brothers got into a heated row when Daniel snapped back: “Oh yeah and you’re Mr Sensitive aren’t you?
“If anyone’s got a one track mind round here I reckon it’s you if Carla’s got anything to say about it.
“Wasn’t it your roving eye that ruined your marriage before it even got off the ground.”
Viewers took to social media to share their observations about Peter’s feels.
“Peter looked so relieved when Carla came round..You don’t get more concerned than that. I spy feelings resurfacing,” one fan pointed out.
Another added: “Peter seemed more relieved than anyone else in the room when Carla woke up.”
“Aidan will save Carla and Carla will save #Corrie and her and Peter will be (fire emojis i.e. HOT!)” commented a third.
Carla now has to wait while Aidan – who has stepped up to donate one of his kidneys to his half-sister – has further tests to make sure the operation can go ahead.
It’s going to be a tense time for the Connor family while they hope the life-saving operation goes smoothly.
