We’ve been waiting months to see cobbles killer Pat Phelan get his commence – and the wait is finally over as this week sees the start of his dramatic downfall.
But while we might have to wait until Friday’s visit to Weatherfield to see exactly what fate the Corrie writers have in store for the malicious murderer, there’s plenty of drama before that with SEVEN episodes of action-packed drama this week.
Here is a breakdown of what to expect each day this week as the serial killer’s sinister web of lies starts to unravel…
Monday 26th March
Legacy Reach site manager arrives on the Street with some shocking news for Phelan in tonight’s episode. First she reveals that he won’t be getting paid for the shoddy work he did, but the concrete that he laid was so bad that it needs to be dug up and started again.
Viewers know that the reason Phelan’s handiwork wasn’t quite up to his usual standards is because he was hurrying to bury two dead bodies in the concrete, before he also fell in the sticky stuff himself.

So with the concrete about to be broken up – it’s only a matter of time before Vinny and Andy’s bodies are found.
Wednesday 28th March
With the bodies he’s buried about to be discovered, Phelan’s understandably eager to leave Coronation Street. Despite the fact Eileen isn’t quite as eager to leave her home as her husband, the pair head off to view a seaside cottage.
Meanwhile, Seb hears about the concrete being dug up and, convinced that the gun Phelan used to kill Luke is hidden in there, begs Gary to help him find it.
Seb and Gary end up locking the site security guard in a portaloo before going on a hunt for the murder weapon. What could possibly go wrong?!
Thursday 29th March
Eileen and Phelan arrive at the seaside and Phelan surprises his other half by revealing he has hired a boat and suggests they look at potential new homes in Ireland, too.
Meanwhile, Gary finds himself in a whole load of trouble when the police arrive at the building site.
Despite explaining that they’re looking for Phelan’s murder weapon, the police want to know why two dead bodies have been found at the site and Gary is arrested on suspicion of murder!
Friday 30th March
The day of Phelan’s comeuppance is finally here, but while Gary is trying to prove his innocence at the police station, things take a sinister turn for Eileen.
As Tim realises that Phelan is a murderer, he leaves Eileen a voicemail to warn her. But as she tries to call him back, little does she know Phelan has followed her.

As the scales fall from Eileen’s eyes, she calls her husband a rapist, liar and murderer – but as the pair fight, a rusty harbour railing gives way. Is this the end of Phelan, Eileen or both of them?
As the truth about Phelan gets back to Weatherfield, one thing is for sure – no one is going to be happy about the fact they had a deadly killer living amongst them!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
