Coronation Street SPOILER: Fiz and Tyrone torn apart by his evil ex Kirsty

Just the thought of her gives us shivers

| Updated:

Absence normally makes the heart grow fonder, but Fiz’s time away from Coronation Street appears to have resulted in a deepening divide for her and Tyrone.

Having just returned to the bosom of her family, Fiz’s nose is already a little out of joint as Ty appears to have coped perfectly well without her, thanks in no small part to Sean stepping in as the perfect housewife!

And next week terrible deceit and betrayal creeps into the normally happy relationship, threatening to tear them apart.

Regular viewers have seen Tyrone’s young daughter Ruby display some increasingly naughty behaviour in recent weeks but, concerned with Fiz’s accusation last year that she’s a chip off the old block of her evil mother Kirsty, he decides to fib that she’s been much better of late.

But when the little girl and her step-sister Hope then sneak into the factory and start playing with an electrical saw, Tyrone is forced to come clean to Fiz about her worrying antics.

Fiz is furious that Ty has lied to her and put her daughter in danger – and tells him she and Hope are going to stay with Ches.

With Tyrone brooding at home at No. 5 in next Friday’s episode, there’s a knock at the door – Gemma, with who he has been growing close.

He explains that Fiz has gone, and then confides the full truth about Ruby’s mum – and his ex – Kirsty; how she used to beat him up and mentally abuse him.

Gemma sympathises and opens up about some of her doomed relationships and, as they bond, Ty leans in to kiss her. But how far will this go… and what does it mean for one of the once most committed couples in Weatherfield?!

Would breaking up Fiz and Tyrone be the worst soap move ever?
