Roy Cropper is going to take on psychic Rosemary Piper this week in Coronation Street.
The sceptical cafe owner will be asked by Audrey Roberts to step in to test Rosemary’s alleged gifts when she begins to worry her with what she’s telling Gail.
Viewers have seen Rosemary tell Gail that she was cursed by her murderous dead ex-husband Richard Hillman, and that’s where all her family’s misfortune has come from.
But concerned at the effect this claim is having on Gail, Audrey decides to take action.
Luring Rosemary to the salon, she invites Roy and Brian to put her to the test, only it doesn’t go very well.

“I refuse to work under these conditions,” a furious Rosemary tells Audrey.
Fortunately Roy is there to take her on, answering for her: “And I cannot case aside a lifetime of scepticism without something concrete.”
“I’ll make it easy for you,” he says, issuing a challenge to Rosemary.
“Ask my wife her name.”
But as Rosemary refuses and begins to leave the Salon, Roy adds: “I’m not demanding next week’s football results or asking her to prove the Goldbach Conjecture.”
Rosemary refuses to even dignify Roy’s challenge to her alleged abilities.

She says: “No I will not be placed under trial.”
Rushing out, Audrey goes after her and asks her to leave Gail alone.
But Rosemary refuses and tells her: “If a client needs my help, I’m not going to withhold it. I’m sorry Audrey.”
