Billy Mathew returns to Coronation Street this week, but it won’t be a happy reunion for him.
Viewers watched last month as the heroin-addicted vicar was sent away to a church sponsored rehab centre after his addiction spiralled out of control.
But now he’s back and he will have to face up to everything he left behind.
As a drug-addicted lowlife, Billy used all the money he had to try and score his next hit, and that left him not paying the bills.
Understandably furious after three months without rent, his landlord Tracy Barlow has decided she wants him gone.

Telling Billy she’s planning on evicting him, the vicar faces being homeless with his adoptive daughter Summer Spellman.
Fortunately for him, Shona Ramsey is willing to step in to save him.
When Shona first arrived on the streets, Billy helped her by giving her a roof over her head and a chance to turn her life around.
Next week she will tell a devastated Summer that Billy is a good man.
“Tracy has no right to treat you and Billy this way,” she says as Summer opens up about her upset over what her life has become.
She adds: “I know he is because when we met I was a scam artist and a thief and he still took me in.

“I had hit rock bottom and he literally turned my life around.
“He will make this right.”
Fortunately for Summer, Shona will later step in and move in and become a guarantor for Billy so he can keep the home he built.
