We thought for a while that it wouldn’t happen – that Aidan wouldn’t give his kidney to sister Carla and save her life.
But in next week’s Corrie, a nervous Mr Connor does go ahead with the life-saving op.
But has everything gone to plan?
As the day of the operation dawns, Aidan’s understandably nervous as he gets ready for the surgery.
He knows it’s a dangerous thing to do but he dampens down his worries and everything goes ahead.
Dad Johnny and sister Kate gather at the hospital as Carla and Aidan are wheeled into the operating theatre.
Aidan’s back from surgery first, and then Carla is wheeled into the ward.

Has the vital operation been a success?
Has Aidan’s bravery done what they all hoped it would do and stopped Carla from dying?

Because as Carla sees all her family gathering by her bedside, she tells them she’s got something to say.
Is she about to announce that Aidan’s donation didn’t work, and she’s still in a bad way?
